Christmas Morn

So Jared already posted about our Christmas Eve activities, so it's my turn to do Christmas day.
Lily woke up about 7:30 and climbed into bed. She'd totally forgotten about the whole Christmas thing and Santa and all that jazz. We were laying there trying to go back to sleep, but I was actually too excited so I told her that Santa had come. We got up and she was very excited when she saw all the presents. She opened the cats stockings first (Ya, that's right, our cats have stockings, so?) and showed the kitties their new toys and treats that she'd picked out for them at one of our many trips to the pet store. Then she opened her stocking and was very excited for the candy canes, marshmallow snow man, etc. Jared and Jack woke up from the commotion and we then started opening presents very slowly. Lily loved opening them and Jack rolled around in the paper and pulled bows off everything.
Jared got new house shorts and nice shorts (poor guy always gets clothes) and I got fancy lights that go under our cabinets (love them!). Jack got a elephant giggle-ball thingy, Jammies from Grandma and a wooden bowling set. Lily got some great Cat Jammies from Grandma, some beautiful Dora dress up clothes, a bubble maker machine for the bath, a WonderPets flyboat, real scissors, Littlest Pet Shops, books, puppets, various Diego and Dora paraphernalia and other cool thingies.
After opening presents we ate a tasty breakfast and then sat around and played with our new stuff. We then went to see the movie "Despereaux" which was Lily's first movie in the theater that she remembers. Then we went to a friends house for a tasty Christmas dinner and good times. By the end of the night, the we were all exhausted (no naps!) and our house was messier than it's been since we moved in. Although we were sad that we couldn't be with our families, we had a good time and it was fun to just be together with our little family.

All Jared got was clothes? Spencer would have been so mad at me. He told me "nothing practical". Such a little boy. Sounds like a wonderful day!

Sounds like a fun Christmas.
I think that Jack looks like Lily when she was a baby. I actually thought it was her in the yellow pj's at first. We miss you guys!
