The Funnest Hike Ever!

Jared and I like to do tourist-y stuff in the place where we live.  I send away for the Utah tourism packets in the mail, I pick up the little pamphlets in hotel lobbies, etc.  One thing that we did recently, which is one of those kind of things, was a ride on the ski lift at Sundance. The kids were kind of nervous, but it ended up being really fun and peaceful.

Once at the top we hiked over to Stewart falls.  The hike was about 2 miles there, than maybe 2 more down the mountain.

 Annie was fussy and mad about being in the carrier, but she finally was jiggled to sleep.

 It was an incredibly beautiful hike, through forests and meadows.   There were thousands of butterflies all around us.  We stopped and looked at interesting things the whole way.  Here's us, across a meadow.

 The kids did amazingly well on the hike and had a great time.  We played in the ice-cold glacier water under for a little.

 The whole thing ended up being a little longer than expected, and the kids were very tired and hungry by the end.  We had a great time and resolved that we need to do more exploring of the beautiful state we live in.
