We had a haircut day and I cut Jack's hair all by myself. It was a little scary and looks slightly wacky but it worked out. I also cut Jared's hair like usual and then we went and got Lily's haircut in a little bob that she's been wanting for several months. It's really cute and she keeps telling me how much she likes it.
As far as 4th of July goes, we had a lot going on. We did the cookout thing, swimming, fireworks and such. Jack and Lily love "poppers". We went to the parade, Jack and Lily looked so cute and were so enthusiastic they got a lot of attention from the people in the parade. (Ya, that's Lily putting the flag in her nose.)

We woke up super duper early one morning and went to the hot air balloon festival. This is a tradition of my family. We had a good time and ate some breakfast and saw a few go up even though it was windy and most didn't.

We went to the Freedom Festival arts festival stuff downtown and while we were there we saw Tyson from Survivor!!! I realize many of you don't know who this is, but we are big Survivor fans and he's our all time favorite (he lives in Provo). We were really excited and made a big scene, but he was really cool and seemed to like it.

A lot of our time on the holiday weekend was used up refinishing our kitchen cabinets. It of course took more time than estimated but it turned out really great. I'm putting up this picture mostly to benefit my parents who are gone for a month and want to see it.

Last weekend we were also finally able to ride on Jared's boat. Lily was scared and cried at first but after about 2 minutes she said she liked it and had fun. We swam and played, it was a good time.

More picnics and running, this time at Bridal Veil falls where we played in the stream after.

Jack has been trying a Elton John look lately, he wore these sunglasses to a restaurant and modeled these heels with the Disco ball on in the background. Don't worry, he's all boy and he's got the tractors and cars to prove it.

Lily and Jack on a motorcycle.

Lily decided to put on a water glass concert for her animals while I was mopping the floor. She loves all of her stuffed animals so much.

We recently had an incident with probably the all time favorite, "Baby Burrow", who is a little stuffed donkey she's had since she was about 1 (there is a family of burrows). She got left in the car cart at the grocery store. I rushed back to the store but she was gone. Unfortunately she has been discontinued by her maker, but I lucked out and we are getting her back thanks to eBay. In the mean time there have been many nights of uncontrollable tears.

My message to all my friends and family reading this, if you ever find a toy or anything that belongs to a kid: LEAVE IT!!! Even better, turn it into lost and found. You have no idea how much it might mean to someone else.
Other than that we are having a lot of fun. We're all staying up too late, skipping naps, getting really dirty everyday and enjoying life.
