We've been doing some picnics and stuff. I've been trying to stick with my running training schedule (for the half marathon), which is no fun and I've decided I don't like running much, but we try and do stuff that's fun during our outings. Often I run to the library and we have a picnic outside and they do a puppet show/ reading program. Today we fed ducks and ran through cottonwood trees where it looked like a snow blizzard. We had a picnic up the canyon and played at a playground.

Lily crossing her eyes.

We went to Day out with Thomas which is where Thomas the Tank Engine came to Heber and your can go for a ride and do activities and stuff. It was fun even though the kids aren't really into Thomas much.
We did another 5k, this one benefitted the non-profit organization my sister Sunny works for, we all participated and we had fun.
After that we went straight to the children's parade downtown. I did this when I was a little girl and was excited for my kids to do it. We decorated their bikes and got popsicles after.
We went to the carillon concert (bell tower) at BYU. We had cinnamon rolls and relaxed and listened to music and the kids rolled down the grass hills. It was lovely.

The other big highlight of June was that part of Jared sister, Meredith, and her hubby PJ and kids Caitlyn and Brayden came to visit from Oklahoma. This was a big deal because we haven't seen them for 2 years! Amazingly the kids were not shy and attached to them instantly.

We hung out and played games, had a picnic up the canyon, Jared took them sailing, had a tea party.
We went to Timpanogos cave, which is so cool. Lily was scared to go into a cave and grumpy and complained about every single part of her body the whole hike up, it was hilarious.

We had a great time and even Lily liked it. Jack fell asleep in the backpack.

We loved our time with the family and wish we could see them more. We've had a extraordinary start to our summer and are looking forward to the rest of it.
